SPECIAL MEETING                                                                                                                    APR. 26, 2007
TOWN OFFICE BUILDING                                                                                                              6:00 P.M.


First Selectman Eldredge called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. with the following in attendance:  Selectmen Patton and Lewis, L. Nicholls and residents.

PUBLIC WORKS   
The Board signed bills and PZC permits.  The following discussions were held:
Signs to come out of Public Works budget.
The DOT meeting regarding closing of Rt. 74 Bridge from Willington to Tolland.
Tinkerville Road plans, cost and permits.
The new guard rails for the Transfer Station, cost and when this can be done.
Cost of materials to complete DEP directives.
Chemical shed and materials to complete it.
Placement of old shed.
Sealed bids for truck to be sold, minimum bids of $12,000 was agreed on.
Prison inmate program, the town attorney is looking over contract.  Lynn will hold staff meeting to discuss who might be interested and comfortable being in charge of the prisoners.
A copy of drainage improvements that was given to the Inland/Wetlands Com. was given to the Board.
Receipts from Transfer Station before July 1, 2006 are not obtainable, may have been lost when the shed was cleaned out.
An e-mail that was received by the Board will be answered by Selectman Patton.

SELECTMAN PATTON MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING AT 6:45 P.M.
Selectman Lewis seconded the motion.
VOTE:  3 YES (ELDREDGE, PATTON & LEWIS)    0  NO
